BT friends and family mobile Vs Utility Warehouse

I love to compare, so here's a response to the BT friends and family mobile scheme.

If you are a Utility Warehouse customer, you may already be given free calls to land lines. This happens automatically if you have 4 services with them.

Utility Warehouse has offered Mobile Saver for £1.50 a month which gives you a discount of over 40% on peak calls to UK mobile numbers.

This means you pay 6.85p per minute to any mobile (excludes "3") at any time.

Off peak calls were always 6.85p per minute anyway.

Check the small print - BT charges an 8p setup for a call to mobiles. So you pay for a minute just to connect.

How I could save the taxpayers £1M or more

Saving the country (some money)

I'm a distributor for a discount club which saves you hundreds of pounds per year on your household bills. If the 646 MPs were forced to use these services, we'd all be £516,800 better off. Actually it could be double that because I didn't include second homes! http://bunnytick.com if you want to get some savings too.

3 things that made me smile on the weekend.

It was a great weekend, followed by the bonus of an extra day off.

Paddling
On Saturday I went out to buy a paddling pool for my (self) kids from Homebase. It was the first time I'd used my 5% discount card and ended up saving £2.50 that made me smile.

Petrol Prices
I just ignored the prices - I knew I had to get some anyway. I saved a further £2.50 with my cashback card.

Food
Some essentials and as it was my son's birthday party some cakes and decorating. Kerching another £2.50 off my bill.

Secretly joyous and wanting to tell everyone in the store, but that's not allowed!

It's a shame I couldn't get 5% off the traffic jam on the way home!

5% discount card is part of the package offered through http://bunnytick.com
